As a multiple world champion both indoor and outdoor, a multiple Commonwealth Games gold medallist, and with an impressive list of World Bowls Tour titles, Paul Foster is one of the trickiest opponents in any draw.
He's been a constant near the very top of the Tour rankings ever since making a surprise breakthrough by winning the 1998 World Singles title as an unseeded outsider. He's added a further four World Singles titles since then, most recently in 2017.
Only good friend and long-time pairs partner Alex Marshall has won more World Singles titles, and he joined Marshall as an honour title holder when he was named MBE in the 2014 New Year Honours list for services to bowls.
