ENGLAND INTERNATIONALISTS ON FIRE

Former World Indoor Bowls Singles champions - Mark Dawes and Jamie Walker teamed up for the first time in their quest to take out the Ambassador Cruise Line World Open pairs title in the first of the afternoon sessions @Potters Resorts earlier today.

In 2018 and 2022 Dawes celebrated the ultimate successes in both the World Singles and with Jamie Chestney in the World Open Pairs but had to change partners this year as Chestney was ineligible to play in the event - hence he teamed up with English national team mate Walker.

They produced some magical bowls in their second round match against Scottish qualifiers Mark Renwick and Kieran Ward from the East Kilbride club who are new to this scene.

The Scots didn't play badly, but the Englishmen gave a masterly display throughout, winning comfortably 11-2, 13-0 and now move through to a quarter final match against compatriots Rob Paxton and Jason Greenslade on Monday 13th January at approx 3.45pm.
