QUEEN OF THE PORTABLE RINK RACKS UP ANOTHER WIN

Katherine Rednall has been a superstar on the Potters portable rink in recent years and has won the Ladies World Matchplay title four times.

Katherine's opponent in the semi final was her England International colleague Nicole Rogers who had beaten Gillian Young from South Africa to reach this stage of the competition. Nicole had also qualified for Potters through an excellent qualifying competition held at Huntingdon earlier in the year.

Katherine started strongly with a 1 and 2. Nicole would have been disappointed in her third end as she dropped a poor four which allowed Katherine to carry the momentum in the set. A 2 in the eight end saw Katherine win the set 12-4.

The third end of the set saw Nicole play and excellent hit but she still lost the measure for the shot and allowed Katherine to lead by four shots to nil after three ends. With Katherine holding the Exonia player at arms length throughout the match she booked another final appearance when she won the second set by 9 shots to 1.

The second semi final will be played at 7.30pm on Wednesday night between Ceriann Glen from Wales and Lisa Featherby from Australia.

Match Result -

Katherine Rednall (ENG / 1) beat Nicole Rogers (ENG) 12-4, 9-1
